Jasper

With its slow and steady vibration jasper has an Earthy energy. Jasper is another type of banded chalcedony mixed with quartz and opal. It is found in metamorphic and sedimentary rocks along with volcanic rocks. It is known for it bands of color in organic patterns. Its various colors correspond with different energies. Color: All colors usually opaque. Color varieties are determined by the present impurities in the formation of the stone. These impurities include iron oxides, green chlorite and actinolite.

History: Ancient Egyptians caved jasper with inscriptions from the Book of the Dead and buried it with mummies for safe passage into the after life. Due to its malleability, jasper was also used for seals and signet rings for many ancient cultures. 

Tip: Place the stone on the base chakra to stabilize and refresh the body.
